BAPTISMAL MEETING: The next baptismal meeting for parents who wish to have their babies’ baptised during the months of July and August takes place Monday July 3rd 2017 at 8pm in the Parochial House. Please enrol in advance to the Parochial House.  The next baptismal meeting is scheduled for Mon 4th September.                                         

BINGO in aid of Church funds takes place on Sunday July 9th at 3pm in the Darnley Lodge Hotel. DUMPING IN THE GRAVEYARD:  You are requested to bring home any rubbish with you from the graveyard.                                                                                                                    

CHY 4 FORMS: if you have received a CHY 4 form, we would appreciate if you would sign it and return it to the Parochial House as soon as possible. The Revenue Commissioners offer a tax rebate to charities for donations over €250 per year from any individual.                                                                                                                

THE PAROCHIAL HOUSE: At a meeting of the parishioners on the 28th June 1868, it was resolved to build a new residence. The foundation stone was laid on the 25th of the following month. The Parochial House bears the inscription: “BUILT 1868 BY THE GENEROUS SUBSCRIPTIONS OF THE PEOPLE OF ATHBOY AS A PERPETUAL RESIDENCE FOR THE OFFICIATING CATHOLIC CLERGY OF THE PARISH.” The roof of the Parochial House is now in an advanced state of disrepair and needs to be replaced, as the roof is leaking. The house is a listed building and the necessary permissions had to be received from Meath County Council before any repairs could begin. A consultant was appointed and the job was tendered. It has been awarded to Eirim Developments, Moygrehan, Athboy. Meath County Council Build Heritage Investment Scheme has approved a grant of €2,500 towards the cost of the work.                                                                    

PUBLIC ROSARY in Trim for the centenary of Fatima on Saturday 15th July at 4pm at Market Street, under the Courthouse clock.                                                                                                           

EUREKA SECONDARY SCHOOL, KELLS:  A “Farewell to Eureka House” takes place on the Oct Bank Holiday Weekend Oct 28/29th 2017 as it’s prepares to move to the new school in Jan 2018. FLOOR & WALL TILING COURSE starting 17th July. Full-time for 6 weeks. Open to unemployed people aged 17-35 who left school early or do not have a full Leaving Certificate. Course runs 9.30am-3.30pm in Claremont Stadium, Navan.
