BAPTISMAL MEETING: The next baptismal meeting for parents who wish to have

their babies' baptised takes place on Monday October 2nd 2017 at 8pm in the
Parochial House. Please enrol in advance to the Parochial House.

FIRST FRIDAY - Friday October 6th - Masses at 8am and 7.30pm on Friday for
those on the List of the Dead. Communion calls on Friday to the sick and
housebound at the usual times.

PARKING lN CHURCH GROUNDS: We ask able-bodied people to park in the car
park and leave parking in the Church grounds for those who are elderly and infirm.

ENVELOPE SERIES: The new series of envelopes begins today Sunday October 1st.
The committee are in the process of preparing the new boxes for distribution.

ALTAR SERVERS: We thank the Altar Servers and their parents who have gone to
secondary school and we welcome our new servers.

BINGO in aid of Church funds takes place on Sunday October 8th at 3pm in the
Darnley Lodge Hotel. All welcome.

IT lS 7OO YEARS ON 17th October 2017 since the Carmetite monastery was
founded here in Athboy. Our evening Mass on Tuesday 17th October will be
celebrated by the Carmelites to commemorate this occasion and Bishop Smith will
attend. After Mass, Rev Dr. Simon Nolan, university history lecturer, will give a talk
on The Fourishing of Carmel in lreland" to commemorate the 700th anniversary of
the founding of Athboy Friary.

PUBLIC ROSARY in October to mark the centenary of the sixth apparition of Our
Lady of Fatima will take place on Friday 13th Oct at 6pm in Market St., Trim (under
the courthouse clock).

RADIO MARIA IRELAND is an lrish-run'Catholic Talk-Radio station and is available
to download free by App "Radio Maria World Family." Prayer, Catechesis, uplifting
muslc all commercial free with live Morning Prayer at 9.15am followed by Mass.

EVENING CLASSES in Athboy Community School commence on Tues 7th
November and run for 6 weeks. Enrolments by contacting the school office.
Courses range from Photography, Flower Arranging, Sign Language, Art etc.

ATHBOY MEN'S SHED: Retired; want something to do: drop in to the Men's Shed
Wednesday morning 10am -12.30pm Convent Community Centre, Kildalkey Rd.

ATHBOY ANOIS invite you to submit a Limerick or a Haiku for consideration. A
local twist in either form would be encouraged. The deadline for submissions is
