Feast of the Baptism of Our Lord

Published on

Jesus is anointed with the Spirit and his power.  He is proclaimed Messiah.  He now goes about doing good, working the signs that make him known as the Servant of God.  He is the one who brings good news to the poor and tells of salvation.  Through our Baptism each one of us is ordered to the life of Christ – Priest, Prophet and King – and the Father looks on us with favour.”           Liturgical Calendar

Baptism in our Parish: in 2024, 44 baptisms took place in our parish, we pray for the children who were baptised and for their families.  May they grow strong in faith and love.

Baptism is celebrated every month in our parish, usually on Saturdays at 3pm in Athboy Church, with no more than three families at a time.

If you have a child for Baptism, please contact Susan at the Parish Office.
