As you may be aware Fr. O'Connor is leaving us in August. As a gesture of our appreciation for his years commitment to our parish , a Mass is being organised for Friday 7th Sept at 7.30pm in St. James' Church, Athboy followed by a presentation and light refreshments in the Darnley Hotel.

Bingo in aid of Church funds is on Sunday 30th September at 3pm in the Darnley Lodge Hotel.

A meeting for parents who wish to have their babies baptised during the month of October takes place on Monday October 1st at 8pm in the Parochial House. Please book in advance to the Parochial House 046 9432184  

Communion Calls to the sick and housebound will take place on Friday October 5th at the usual times.

Registration meeting  on Wednesday 10th October in O’Growney National School, Athboy at 7.30pm for parents of children in Second Class in the parish schools who would like  their children to receive the Sacraments of Penance and Holy Communion for the first time.   Parents who have a child in sixth Class and would like them to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation are invited to a meeting on Wednesday November 7th at 7.30pm in O’Growney NS, Athboy. This meeting is for parents only. Confirmation takes place on Friday February 15th 2019 at 11am.
